<p><strong>Proposition building tool:</strong> The proposition tool consists of a set of hexagon cards, each featuring a proposition element that helps build a convincing story or pitch aimed at engaging stakeholders. This tool allows you to construct narratives in a logical sequence, which can be customised to suit your specific needs. Although it contains a ‘preferred’ sequence, you might want to change its sequence to suit your particular needs! Omit cards that don't fit your proposition or context! Or add cards you find missing! A tool is intended to support your process, not prescribe it. Additionally, this tool can also help you analyse one of your existing presentations tailored to a specific audience. By using it alongside the stakeholder perspective tool, it might help you to shape your narrative to appeal to specific stakeholder ‘hats’ you aim to connect with and convince.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Challenge #7: The DNA of a proposition (45 - 105 min.): </strong></p>
<p>In small groups (4-5) Getting familiar with the proposition building tool by analysing an existing proposition. You need 1 proposition per group to analyse it. </p>
<p><em>Question for each group:</em></p>
<p>What is your natural proposition? Do you have an example of a pitch or story you present to an audience (stakeholders) to convince them, ask them to step in, join, or take it a step further? Use a presentation for a project or idea that you have already used.</p>
<p>Analyse this proposition together using the proposition-building tool. Share your presentation and story briefly with the group (not in full presenter mode, but in a quick explanatory talk). The other group members will have the proposition-building cards in front of them to check which parts of the proposition tool are included in the example presentation and which ones are not. Consider whether the missing elements need to be included. Use these findings and insights to analyse the proposition together.</p>

How to tailor your proposition. </strong><br />Your proposition, your narrative can differ depending on the stakeholders in the audience. This challenge is aimed at understanding the relationship between stakeholder and proposition construct<br /><br />First 50 minutes:<br />In pairs, take turns tailoring your proposition. You will tailor your proposition to a stakeholder type selected by your partner. Your partner will act as the proposition-building supporter: through roleplay, stepping into the shoes of the selected stakeholder, they will provide specific feedback on the relevance of the narrative to the stakeholder's perspective. This process will help you refine your proposition to better address the needs and concerns of different stakeholders.<br /><br />You both:</p>

<li>Find a proposition/ presentation each to use for this exercise</li>
<li>Choose at least 5 stakeholders that you want to use in this exercise</li>
<li>Present your proposition to your partner, who will act as one of the chosen stakeholders. As the listener/audience, your partner will step into the shoes of this stakeholder by using the stakeholder explanation tool card and focusing on the needs and arguments listed on that card. </li>
<li>After the presentation, your partner will provide feedback on the stakeholder-fit of your proposition. They will share their thoughts on whether their needs and questions were met and what additional information or adjustments they would like from the proposition.</li>
<li>Repeat this for the other stakeholders. You will find that each round will go faster.</li>
