<p><strong>Narrative</strong><br />This sixth workshop focuses on leveraging your creativity to create boundary objects that foster social interaction among stakeholders. These boundary objects can take any form of creative expression, such as card games, performances, or art created using images, sound, clay, fashion, and more. The goal is to find alternative strategies for collaboration that open up new avenues for consensus, discussion, decision-making, envisioning, and problem-solving. These approaches go beyond traditional methods like meetings or brainstorming sessions with stickies and flip charts, which are so often not productive. By exploring and applying your creative skills, you can facilitate more dynamic and effective interactions among stakeholders.<br /><br /><strong>Resources and formats:</strong></p>

<p><strong>Challenge #11: boundary spanning objects expedition (35 - 125 min.)</strong><br /><br />In this challenge we present and dissect three examples of good practise; <br />The Tapis de Bayeux - The VIP& Journalist and Systemic positioning (based on the work of Bert Hellinger)<br /><br />The tapis de Bayeux and the systemic positioning of a project will be practised. The VIP & Journalist has already been practised in a previous episode. Every example will be followed by an explanation and reflection on the boundary spanning mechanics of the exercise: What does it do? Why does it do what it does? When to use it? etc.<br /><br /><strong>Systemic project positioning on table: </strong><br />In groups of 3 or 4. One of the group is the one that creates a systemic arrangement of a project on the table, a mini representation of a project using an array of material. For this exercise it is best to use a project with some challenging elements. The other 2 or 3 are active or passive listeners.<br /><br />Assignment for the systemic arrangement builder:</p>

<li>Build your project (10 min.) on a table using material at hand (bottles, paper pieces, pencils, etc.). Think of:</li>

<li>The activity ends with the systemic arrangement builder sharing his/her conclusion </li>

<p><br /><strong>Explanation + reflection on mechanics (20 min.)</strong><br /><br /><strong>Tapis de Bayeux:</strong><br />Use a long piece of brown paper to create a visual overview and timeline of the project (pressure cooker: 20 min.). Same group of 3 or 4. <br /><br /></p>

<li>Choose a project </li>
<li>Mark the start of the project and the end on the brown paper</li>
<li>Either use 3D materials (lego, paper, etc.) or 2D visualisations.Note: when 2D visualising is used please use drawings/ visualisations first before adding (a few) words </li>
<li>Start with visualising the end of the project: when is it done? What are concrete results and yields? For who? How would that feel?</li>
<li>Move to the start of the project and to the present: What was the starting position? What were the aims of the project? Who is in the team? Present: where do you stand now? </li>
<li>Add (visualisations of) project milestones and deliverables</li>
<li>Add internal and external dependencies by adding lines and/or lables</li>
<li>Conclude by adding actions and plans on the timeline</li>
<li>If time left let one of the team run through the whole project timeline on the brown paper in 2 minutes and let someone else film this run through. It will be the summary of this exercise</li>

<li>You have one hour to discuss and make modifications to your tool of choice.</li>
